Helping people move beyond people-pleasing, perfectionism, anxiety and self-doubt to build greater self-trust, authenticity and freedom.
Helping You Understand Yourself, Trust Yourself and Live More Authentically
Many of the people I work with appear to be coping well on the outside.
They are thoughtful, capable and dependable.
They may be successful in their work, supportive in their relationships and the person others naturally turn to when things become difficult.
Yet underneath, they can feel anxious, overwhelmed or disconnected from themselves.
Some struggle with intrusive thoughts, overthinking and uncertainty.
Others feel trapped in cycles of people pleasing, perfectionism or self-doubt.
Many describe feeling stuck.
Not because they are incapable, but because the ways they have learned to cope are no longer working for them.
Therapy provides an opportunity to slow down and understand these patterns with curiosity rather than judgement.
Together we explore the beliefs, experiences and relationships that may have shaped the way you see yourself, other people and the world around you.
As understanding grows, many people find they become less controlled by fear, shame and self-criticism, and more able to trust themselves, express themselves and build a life that feels authentic to who they are.
The aim is not to become a different person.
It is to become more fully yourself.
Common Reasons People Contact Me
I work with adults experiencing:
• Anxiety and overthinking
• Low self-esteem and self-worth
• People pleasing and difficulty setting boundaries
• Perfectionism
• Shame and self-criticism
• Feeling lost, stuck or disconnected from yourself
Whether you are struggling with a specific issue or simply feel that life is no longer working in the way it once did, therapy can help you better understand what is happening and create meaningful change.
My Approach
My approach is warm, honest and collaborative.
I believe many of our struggles make sense when viewed in the context of our experiences, relationships and attempts to adapt to the world around us.
Alongside my professional training as a psychotherapist, I bring more than 25 years of experience working in health and wellbeing, as well as personal experience of living with OCD for over 30 years and navigating ADHD and autistic traits.
This combination of professional knowledge and lived experience helps me understand the challenges of anxiety, self-doubt, overthinking and feeling different from those around you.
My aim is to provide a space where you feel understood, challenged when needed and supported to develop greater self-awareness, self-trust and emotional freedom.
